Five ultimatums Trump has already given Iran during the War
Deadline (1) – 48 Hours
Trump said on March 21, 2026, that he would “wipe out” Iran’s energy supply if ships could not pass through the Strait of Hormuz unhindered within 48 Hours. Iran responded the next day by saying it would attack energy and water facilities in Gulf states if Trump carried out his threat.

Deadline (2) – 5 Days
On March 23, 2026, the US president said he would not order attacks on Iranian energy facilities for Five Days, stating that he had been influenced by “very good and productive talks” with Iran.
Tehran denied that it was negotiating with the US.

Deadline (3) – 10 Days
On March 26, 2026, Trump announced another pause in attacking energy infrastructure, this time for another 10 Days, following what he described as a request from the Iranian government. This set a new Deadline of April 6.
On April 4, Trump wrote on Truth Social that Iran had “48 Hours” before he would “Unleash Hell” on the country, a reminder of his April 6 Deadline.
“Time is running out,” he said in the message.

Deadline (4) – Deadline Postponed from 5 to 7 April 2026
(AI-modus) – On April 5, 2026, President Trump hinted on his social media channel Truth Social at apostponement of the Deadline for the ultimatum to Iran to April 7, 2026.
Trump appears to have pushed back his Deadline once again and is now giving Iran until April 7 at 8 p.m. ET to make a Deal or open the strait.
The president has said that if Iran misses the Deadline, “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day.”

Deadline (5) – Two Weeks Postponement
Trump Postpones Deadline for Iran again.
The United States, Israel and Iran have announced a two-week ceasefire. The countries negotiate a final agreement during the truce. They announced this in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, shortly before the American Deadline for Iran expired.
