Trump has thrown the first ceasefire proposal “in the trash.”
The Iranians originally proposed a 10-point plan that was fundamentally unserious, unacceptable, and completely rejected. It was literally thrown in the trash by President Trump and his negotiating team. Many media outlets in this Chamber have falsely reported on that plan as acceptable to the United States, and that is false.

Trump’s own 15-point proposal
With the President’s Deadline fast approaching and the U.S. military completely decimating Iran by the hour, the regime acknowledged reality to the negotiating team. They presented a more reasonable, completely different and more compact plan to the president and his team. President Trump and the team determined that the new amended plan was a workable basis for negotiating and aligning it with our own 15-point proposal.

Never underestimate President Trump
The president’s red lines, namely the end of Iranian enrichment in Iran, have not changed. And the idea that President Trump would ever accept an Iranian wish list as a deal is completely absurd. I would strongly advise the media not to run with stories without a basis. In fact, what Iran says publicly or relays to all of you in the press is very different from what they communicate privately to the United States, the president, and his team.
Never underestimate President Trump’s ability to successfully advance America’s interests and broker peace.
